Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in New Delhi
On arrival at Delhi's IGI airport, our representative will accompany you to the hotel, and help you with check-in formalities. The representative will brief you with the details of the tour itineraries. Delhi’s charm lies in the fact that it welcomes everyone from different walks of life, and thereby the old and the new ideals walk hand-in-hand.
Day 2 : Full day sightseeing Delhi
After a sumptuous breakfast, visit the charming Old Delhi. As you drive past the majestic Red Fort bordering the walled city, feel the old world welcome you with open arms. Marvel at the architecture of Jama Masjid, where 20,000 people can pray at a time. Feel the spiritual vibe that the Azan emanates. Next, a rickshaw ride through the narrow streets adorned with colourful shops will make you aware of what the world really looks like up close. Here you have an option to take part in Salaam Balaak trust’s mission of rescuing street children and educating them for a better life for a day. Drive towards Lutyens Delhi. After you reach India Gate, get to know about the 80000 fallen Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War 1, in the quest for a better world. Move on to your next location, Rashtrapati Bhawan, with 340 rooms, the home to the President of India.
Day 3 : Drive for Agra Excursion
Arrive in Agra, visit the much-awaited Taj Mahal (remains closed on Fridays), which is considered a symbol of love. This UNESCO site is often called the “the jewel of Muslim art in India”. The monument was built by Shah Jahan is beautiful, because as the dawn breaks the light and colours transforms gives the Taj an additional glow. You have the option of visiting Agra Fort. Get to know how Shah Jahan, the one who commissioned its construction ended up in a prison inside it, because of his son. You can also consider yet another option of visiting Sheroes café, run by acid attack survivors. Day 4 : Delhi to Jaipur
On arrival in the ‘Pink City’ check-in to the hotel and rest of the day is free for leisure. It is a city fringed by the rugged Aravali Hills. It boasts of being India’s first planned city. Day 5 : Full day sightseeing Jaipur
After breakfast, visit the City Palace Museum, with an in-house exquisite collection of Rajasthani costumes, Mughal and Rajput armoury including swords. The Royal artefacts are like a history lesson as it tells about what a royal family member needed to lead his/ her daily life. Do take some time out for a photo session at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five-storied wonder, as you further get to know the city. Optional visit to 17th century Amer Fort located atop the Aravallis. The uphill approach to the Fort is a thrilling experience. You'll be surprised to know that even in ancient times religious tolerance was a normal thing, because the Fort's construction was undertaken by Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, who was a Hindu. Also, you have the option of visiting the scientific wonder, Jantar Mantar. In 1734 it was thrown open to the public. The Jai Singh Observatory was the last remnant of medieval science. From the outside, the eighteen fixed observational instruments look more like a playground apparatus than sighting devices. The instruments were used to measure the position of the sun, stars and planets.
Day 6 : Jaipur to Udaipur
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Udaipur. The city is often called ‘Venice of the East’ as it is built around three interconnected lakes and encircled by the Aravallis.
Day 7 : Full day sightseeing Udaipur
The tour begins at the beautiful City Palace, situated on Lake Pichola. The Palace which has seen royals rule it for over four centuries underwent modification over and over again. Being constructed entirely out of marble and granite makes it highly luxurious in every sense of the word. Also, try to visit Jagdish Temple, a 16th-century temple. Optional visit to Sahelion-ki-Bari, the Garden of the Maids-of-Honour embellished with fairy tale-like fountains inside its four pools, or you can hitch a boat ride in Pichola Lake.
Day 8 : Udaipur to Jodhpur
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Udaipur and drive to Jodhpur. Enroute visit Ranakpur Jain Temples. It is an incredible feat of Jain devotion. A complicated series of 29 halls, 80 domes and 1444 individually engraved pillars is a feat of engineering like no other. The 15th century temple was built in white marble. The main temple of Ranakpur, Chaumukha Mandir (Four-Faced Temple), is dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain tirthankar. Check in to your hotel in Jodhpur and relax at your hotel room, as you prepare for the upcoming leg of the tour. The gateway to the Thar Desert, Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination featuring a variety of palaces, age-old forts and sacred temples.
Day 9 : Full day sightseeing Jodhpur
After breakfast, visit to Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill will catch your attention immediately. Inside the Fort, palace apartments like Sukh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal etc are decorated to enthral your five senses. Your dreams come true as you get to witness the enormous collection of jewellery, costumes, armoury, palanquins, and other royal artefacts. Drive towards Udaipur, city of Lakes. Witnessing The Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built in 1899 is a sight like no other. This size of the statue indicates the might of the Rajputs. Explore the Clock tower bazaar famous for its spices.
Day 10 : Jodhpur to Mumbai
Welcome to Mumbai, home to India’s largest film industry, and a financial powerhouse. It is a place where fashion is born to set a trend for the world. The heart of the city contains some grand colonial-era architecture on the planet, unique bazaars, hidden temples, and some of the best restaurants on the planet. Upon arrival in Mumbai transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 11 : Full day sightseeing Mumbai
Proceed for the orientation tour of the city, that includes Prince of Wales Museum built in grand Indo-Saracenic style, and as you move on towards Gateway of India, you zoom past the beautiful Marine Drive. Here, you have the option of visiting Elephanta Island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is famous for its great cave shrine, excavated in the sixth century. It sprawls over an area of approximately 5000 square meters. You get to reach the temple by climbing a flight of more than 100 steps.
Day 12 : End of the Itinerary
Say Goodbye. After check out, you will be transferred to Mumbai International Airport to board flight for your onward journey. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai is the primary international airport serving the Mumbai area. It is touted as the second busiest airport in the country after Delhi.
