Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive in Thimphu
After arriving at Paro International Airport, drive through lush mountains to reach Thimphu. Check into Six Senses Thimphu, offering stunning views of the Buddha Dordenma. Start your day with leisurely activities to acclimate to the altitude. Stroll through Thimphu’s vibrant streets, visit the Zorig Chusum for Bhutanese arts, the Folk Heritage Museum, create your own stamp at the National Post Office, and explore Tashi Chho Dzong, the King’s office and Buddhist monastery.
Day 02 : Explore the Scenic Thimphu
Start early in the morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast. First, visit the majestic Buddha Dordenma (170 feet/52 meter) statue perched high above the valley. Next, find out what your future holds and get your chart read at Pangri Zampa Lhakhang, a 16th-century monastic school of astrology. Then, visit the Changangkha Lhakhang monastery, located near the Thimphu Clock Tower. Then head to Royal Textile Museum to see the intricate art of Bhutanese weaving and lastly, make your own stamp at the National Post Office before returning home for dinner at the lodge.
Day 03 : Thimphu to Punakha
Begin your day with an optional yoga session followed by a scenic breakfast amidst nature's beauty. Journey towards Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula Pass, offering views of cloud-covered valleys and 108 Buddhist shrines. Visit the revered Chimi Lhakhang fertility temple en route, known for blessing couples seeking to start a family. Day 04: Full day sightseeing of Punakha

Day 05 : Explore the Monasteries of Punakha

Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverside, followed by a visit to Talo Nobgang Village to explore Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery and Nobgang Monastery, once home to a renowned Tibetan lama. Day 06 : Explore the Beautiful Stone Ruins of Paro
Return to Paro via the Dochula Pass, heading westward to Simtokha Dzong, the country’s first dzong built in 1629. Pass through Chuzom Bridge at the confluence of Wang Chhu and Pha Chhu rivers, featuring Bhutanese, Tibetan, and Nepali shrines. Explore Rinpung Dzong, known as the “fortress on heaps of jewels”, host to the annual Paro Tshechu. Visit Nyamai Zampa, a 1525 cantilevered bridge, then explore Paro National Museum’s thangka and heritage collections. Day 07 : Visit the famous Monastery of Paro
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a journey to Taktsang Goemba monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically 2,950 feet (900 meters) above Paro Valley. Listen to the tales of its construction as you hike through pine forests, surrounded by the tranquil sound of prayer wheels. Day 08 : Sightseeing of Paro
After a refreshing night's rest, start your day with a leisurely breakfast on the lodge's terrace, soaking in the morning sunshine. Explore the nearby pine forests on foot before enjoying a local farmhouse lunch with a Bhutanese family. For a more active experience, embark on an uphill hike to Jele Dzong, encountering nomads and yak herders along the way. Return for a picnic lunch in nature. Visit Samteling Monastery in the afternoon to admire its ancient statues and wall paintings. Relax at the spa with a sauna, cold plunge, and deep tissue massage. In the evening, indulge in a special Indian dinner under the stars near a 15th-century dzong ruin. Day 09 : Head for your return journey
After breakfast in the morning, head to the Paro Airport to board your flight for your return journey. Pack your bags and bid goodbye to your Bhutanese hosts before departing the hotel. From here it is a 30-minute drive to the airport. Your representative will accompany you and assist with the formalities.
