Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 - Captivating Negombo
You will be arriving at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake where you will meet a representative. The representative will then take you to the idyllic coastal city of Negombo, located just 15 minutes from the airport. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or go out and discover the myriad of marvels and attractions in the city. You will enjoy the premium tastes of the island at the exotic beach restaurants in the city.
Day 02 - Witness spectacular sights at Negombo
The morning starts with a healthy vegan breakfast. Consult with an in-house specialized doctor, who is an experienced Ayurvedic healer and an expert nutritionist. The doctor will guide you through the Vegetarian and Vegan food offered at Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilion. This tour is particularly meant for you to find the peaceful point of your body, mind, and your soul. Feeling stressed can easily drain all your good energy and leave you in a state of frustration and anger. This also creates a negative surrounding and life. Experience the sights and sounds of life in Sri Lanka with a boat ride along the Dutch-made Hamilton Canal. This 100km long Dutch Canal is an ideal way to gain insight into the area from a different viewpoint. Along the way, see crocodiles, water monitors, varieties of fish, monkeys, and birds. Visit Muthurajawela and take a nature tour to Negombo lagoon in a small boat.
Day 03 - Negombo
Finish your vegan meals, and then consult with the doctor. You will get daily Ayurveda treatments based on the doctor's consultation, including full-body treatments/external, internal medicine. Also, you can take part in the morning group yoga/meditation sessions. A healthy and varied vegan diet includes vegetables, fruits, lots of leafy greens, nuts, whole grain products, legumes, and seeds. People who follow a vegetarian and vegan diet can get all the nutrients they require. But, they should be careful to eat a wide range of food to meet their nutritional requirements.
Day 04 - Exploratory Sigiriya
After finishing breakfast, you will drive to Dambulla to reach your next destination. Spend two soothing days in this resort to get indulged in a revitalizing wellness program. Sri Lankan agriculture is embodied in the retreat, and individuals can pick their vegetables/fruits from the retreat garden and prepare them with Sri Lankan ladies using conventional equipment. Only organic and vegan food is available. They will do a cookery demonstration to show 'Kola Kenda' and a Vegan-friendly Sri Lankan food. If you are up for a deep roar in the jungle, then Minneriya is the place. Expanding more than 8800 hectares, this is a haven for elephants. Minneriya is home to deer and birds, but its spotlight is the elephant. Park your jeep on the bank of the reservoir and turn off its engine to enjoy a safari at Minneriya National Park.
Day 05 - Sigiriya
Before breakfast, take part in an early morning meditation session on top of Pidurangala Rock. After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya. Relish a Sri Lankan lunch. Rice is the preferred carb in Sri Lanka. There will always be at least one milk-based curry. It is made with a heavy base of coconut milk, Sri Lankan spices, and turmeric. A dry-stir-fry is also served that is the preparation of vegetables in oil and semi-fried. Pidurangala Rock has a natural feel and is covered in stillness and harmony. This huge rock is adjacent to Sigiriya and has the best viewing spot of Sigiriya. The hike leading to the summit of the Pidurangala Rock is a stunning mix of adventure and serenity. Travel to Pidurangala and take up the trek to find your inner peace. Pidurangala Rock also has a Temple Rock.
Day 06 - Kandy - Temple of Tooth Relic
After breakfast, move to the hill country to dive into the chilly climate and connect with a heavenly journey. On your way to the next destination for relaxation, ensure to stop by the iconic Temple of Tooth Relic. This is an important center for all Buddhists in the world. The temple crafts an array of history, culture, and heritage in the visitors' minds throughout the globe. Experience an ancient Kandyan legacy engraved in its crown jewel, the temple of the holy tooth relic of Lord Buddha.
Day 07 - Kandy
After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful stay at the hotel. Engage in their retreat programs to direct your inner tranquility. Focus on slow living, digital detoxing, minimalism, and reconnecting with nature. All meals are customized to each client and will be made based on their dietary requirements. Take part in the daily morning and evening group yoga sessions at the yoga pavilion, use of sauna, steam, thermal salt soak pool. Motivate people on conscious living. Take part in nature, walks and river trekking. The body is like an instrument that requires daily tuning. A perfect tool is vital for ideal music. Similarly, for meditation, light and a healthy body are vital.
Day 08 - Kandy - Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing stay at the hotel. Take part in wellness and yoga sessions planned for the day. Later in the day, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Witness the biggest herd of elephants who tour to the river twice a day to bathe. Managed by the Sri Lanka Wildlife Department, Pinnawala supports both breeding and aiding the recovery and discharge of injured wild elephants back into the forest. Learn how they are reared, tamed, and trained by their mahouts who bottle feed and bathe them. Dine on scrumptious, healthy food; delicately prepared and plated and select your options of vegan, raw, ketogenic, vegetarian, or hearty traditional fare.
Day 09 - Wellawaya - Peradeniya Botanical Garden
After breakfast, drive to the hill country to dive into the cool climate and join with a heavenly journey. Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. First developed as a pleasure garden in royalty and later synchronized by the British, the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya - today bundled with the most hospitable facilities situated just 4 miles off Kandy. Walk into this 147-acre heaven of an experience, passing well-tended pavilions, lawns, and an octagon conservatory to be greeted by the huge expanse of a superbly landscaped lush green turf which will persuade you for an exciting break. Experience paddy harvesting and farming and related festivals, Vegan-friendly cuisine, Sri Lankan food, and more. Enjoy special dining experience in Kamatha along with village walks, trekking, hiking, waterfall, among other attractions. The resort is facing an emerald green paddy field and from the other end bordering a serene river.
Day 10 - Wellawaya
After your breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day at the hotel. Day is at leisure for independent activities. Wellawaya is an elapsed gateway to a world of Sri Lankan adventures that range from chasing waterfalls, exploring hiking, archaeological sites, roaming around on wildlife safaris, trekking, and more. Suppose you want to spot even more species of wildlife. In that case, the Uda Walawe National Park is home to the largest population of elephants in Sri Lanka and also other animals such as spotted deer and wild buffalo, to name a few.
Day 11 - Wadduwa
After breakfast, transfer to Wadduwa. Experience a purification of your soul and body as you take rest in the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Have your breakfast in the hotel and leave for Wadduwa, a small town located on the western coast of Sri Lanka. After a 5 hours’ drive, you will reach Wadduwa. Relax and unwind after a long day of road travel in the hotel. Arrive at Wadduwa after a long road journey and check into the hotel for a good night's sleep.
Day 12 - Wadduwa
Ensure to enjoy a combination breakfast at the resort, which will connect you with Sri Lankan food and global vegan options.It is very important to have a methodical knowledge in selecting your meals and having a balanced diet. Some food will contribute to calming you down, while some will make you feel more anxious. Day 13 - Wadduwa - Day at Leisure
This morning, ensure to enjoy a fusion breakfast at the resort, which will connect you with Sri Lankan food and global vegan options. Relish the Sri Lankan foods and other food items ideally chosen for stress relief. Head for delectable lunch in the afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight stay in the evening.
Day 14 - End of itinerary
Take part in a relaxing yoga session in the morning, followed by an Ayurveda treatment session, as suggested by your in-house physician. In the afternoon, you'll be transferred back to Colombo International Airport at a time that suits your flight time to end your Sri Lanka wellness tour.
