Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 New Delhi
On arrival at Delhi's IGI airport, our welcome representative will escort you to the hotel, and help you with the check-in formalities. The representative will make sure you are briefed with the details of the upcoming tour.Delhi's charm lies in the unique mix of old palaces and modern glass buildings complimenting each other's uniqueness. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after the long journey.
Day 2 Delhi city tour
After a sumptuous breakfast, visit Old Delhi. As you drive past the majestic Red Fort bordering the walled city, feel the warmth of the old world welcome you with open arms. Marvel at the architecture of Jama Masjid, where 20,000 people can pray at a time. A rickshaw ride through the narrow streets adorned with colourful shops followed by an optional visit to Salaam Balaak trust, a non-governmental organisation, which rescues street children and educates them for a better life. In the evening, drive through Lutyens Delhi to see a different side of Delhi. Then head next to India Gate, built in commemoration of soldiers who died fighting in World War-1. After paying your obeisances, move on to Rashtrapati Bhawan, home to India's President. Later drive towards Agra and check-in at the hotel.
Day 3 The city of the Taj welcomes you
Arrive at the erstwhile capital of the Mughal empire, and check in to the hotel. Enjoy a leisurely day or get set for the optional visits to the Agra Fort and Sheroes cafe. Prepare yourself for an exciting new day as you begin a journey into ancient royalty.
Day 4 Agra- Sawai Madhopur
Get set for an early morning visit, bask in the glory of the magnificent Taj Mahal (remains closed on Fridays). The UNESCO site is often called the “the jewel of Muslim art in India”. The magnificent monument was built by Shah Jahan. The beauty of the Taj radiates as light and colours transform this stunning monument in the beautiful dawn glow. Head next for an optional activity, if you are interested to visit Fatehpur Sikri, once a glittering capital but later mysteriously abandoned. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel and drive towards Ranthambhore. Arrive at Sawai Madhopur and check-in to the hotel. In the evening, take part in the Tiger talk show presenting a documentary on tiger conservation.
Day 5 Welcome to Sawai Madhopur
Early in the morning enjoy a game drive into Ranthambhore National Park, which was once a royal hunting ground. A dry deciduous forest replete with several lakes, rivulets and a magnificent ancient Ranthambore fort will give you an idea how vast this park is. Enjoy the plethora of flora and fauna this park boasts off. Touring through the forest, you'll get to witness the chirpings of a large variety of birds while being spellbound by the marsh muggers, turtles and pythons who call the water bodies inside it their home. If you are really lucky, then the tiger or the leopard might give you company. Ranthambore Fort visit is optional and this fort lies inside the Ranthambore National Park. A former hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until the time of India's Independence. It is a formidable fort having been a focal point of historical developments of Rajasthan. Enjoy the afternoon, head for a game drive into Ranthambhore National Park with a naturalist.
Day 6 Welcome to Jaipur
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a pleasant drive towards Jaipur. A city, fringed by the rugged Aravali Hills, boasts of being the first planned city in India. Marvel at the sight of the pink terracotta buildings as you enter this city, or 'Pink City' to be specific. Check-in at the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 7 Jaipur city tour
After breakfast, visit the City Palace Museum, whose superb collection of Rajasthani costumes, Mughal and Rajput armoury including swords of different shapes and sizes is bound to make you awestruck. The Royal artefacts will give you an insight of what royalty is all about. You can enjoy a photo session at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five-storied wonder, as you move around this city. Last but not least is the optional visit to the 17th century Amer Fort located atop the Aravallis. The approach to the fort will excite you to explore it even further. What will excite you more is the fact that the fort's construction was undertaken by Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General. End your trip with an optional tour of Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory) built to measure time. Marvel at the intricacies of each instrument, which is a part of this giant clock.
Day 8 Gurgaon Visit
After a royal breakfast in Jaipur, drive towards New Delhi. You will arrive in Gurgaon and take the optional visit to the Qutub Minar. It is 72.5m high with a diameter at the base 14.4m and 2.7 m at the top. The tower has 379 steps to the top. Check-in at the hotel, and get a taste of what Indian modernity is all about. Rest of the day is at leisure. You can opt for an optional visit to the stone minaret, Qutub Minar, in the capital and be awestruck to know how tall this free-standing stone minaret is.
Day 9 Time to bid farewell
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to the New Delhi airport. Get set for boarding the flight for your onward journey.
