Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival in Paro-Transfer to Thimphu
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to Thimphu and the rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 02 : Thimphu sightseeing and activities
After breakast sightseeing in Thimpu. Visit Buddha Dordenma one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley. Memorial Chorten explore this important religious landmark built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan. Tashichho Dzong is the impressive and monastery, which houses the throne room and offices of the King. National Institute for Zorig Chusum: Observe traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts being taught. Dinner: Enjoy a local meal. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Drive to Gangtey
En route visit Dochu La Pass located at the 3,100-meter pass for views of the Himalayan range and 108 chortens. Upon arrival in Gangtey explore the picturesque valley and visit Gangtey Monastery. Perched atop a small hill that overlooks almost the entire Phobjikha Valley, the spectacular Gangtey Monastery is surrounded by a large village inhabited mainly by the families of the 140 gomchens who devotedly take care of the blessed monastery. A 17th century Buddhist monastery, it is one of the most famed as well as sacred sites to visit in the entire valley. A must-visit when in Gangtey. Dinner: Experience a traditional Bhutanese dinner.
Day 04 : Gangtey Sightseeing and Activities
Gangtey Nature Trail: Enjoy a leisurely walk through the Phobjikha Valley, taking in the stunning natural beauty and spotting the black-necked cranes if visiting in winter. Gangtey Monastery: Explore this important religious site and learn about the significance of the Phobjikha Valley in Bhutanese culture. Local Village Visit: Interact with local villagers and experience their way of life. Dinner: Savor Bhutanese cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Drive to Punakha
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Punakha: Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner: Enjoy a traditional dinner in Punakha. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Punakha Sightseeing and Activities
Punakha Dzong Visit one of Bhutan's most magnificent Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Suspension Bridge: Walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge, offering views of the river and valley. Chimi Lhakhang: Visit the fertility temple, also known as the Divine Madman’s Temple, after a short hike through rice fields. Dinner: Enjoy local Bhutanese cuisine. The rest of the day is at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Drive to Paro
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Paro. En route sightseeing: Paro Dzong: Visit Rimpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery with stunning views of the valley. Explore Paro Town: Stroll through the charming streets of Paro, visit local shops, and interact with locals. Dinner Savor a delicious dinner in Paro. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 : Temples of Paro
This morning you will do the hiking of Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Monastery). Hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched on a cliff 900 meters (2,952 feet) above the Paro Valley. The hike takes around 4-5 hours round-trip. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang Visit one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. Farmhouse Visit Experience traditional Bhutanese hospitality at a local farmhouse. Dinner Enjoy your final dinner in Bhutan. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 : Departure from Paro
Transfer to Paro Airport After breakfast, you will be transferred to Paro International Airport for your departure. Carry with you unforgettable memories of your journey through Bhutan.
